The Outer Worlds was a fairly successful action role-playing game from the people of Obsidian. The developer has created a fascinating world, with unlimited possibilities and content.
They also did a good job with writing. There is a lot of dark humor and satire that you will notice in the first two sequences of the game. These elements definitely give The Outer Worlds a unique rocket that sets it apart from other RPGs in the same space.
The writing was so good – in fact – that the game just received a Nebula award in the game writing category. It’s an impressive feat that Obsidian should hold in high regard. The Outer Worlds Has Won A Nebula Award In The Game Writing Department
If you don’t know, the Nebula Awards take place every year and are a way to highlight the work of science fiction and fantasy writers from America. The Outer Worlds also beat fierce competition, including Disco Elysium.
This recent achievement shows how good the writing and the plots are in this game. When you don’t finish the main story centered on the control of the company, there are many side quests which keep the humor strong.
Obsidian has given you many ways to approach gameplay, much like what they did in their previous games. This design opens up the possibilities of the story and makes you worry more about what’s going on.
